Did you see the LJW article on Malik Newman? I had wondered how his year was going, so was really glad to hear an update. Having been the #8 high school player his senior year of High School, having played a year in D1 and having spent a year practicing at KU, he should be a key to our team next year.
As for next year, what do you think of speculation about Svi and Devonte going to the NBA? Unless they're just anxious to make some money, I'd think waiting another year would be best for them. A back court combo of Graham and Newman next year, may be as good, if not better, than Graham and Mason this year. I don't think either make the first round mock drafts, though I saw Graham listed in round two. Yet, I think it is more likely for Svi to jump. If he doesn't make an NBA roster, there is money to make and family to be with in Europe. Any thoughts or predictions?

I hope he learned from Josh about being a complete player on the court and what to watch out for off the court

I don't see Graham going. He's a solid to very good player, but would be undrafted this year. He may even be a euro guy even after next year. I haven't seen NBA level skills, or consistency over an entire season. Great Jayhawk and I enjoy him, but that doesn't guarantee a pro career.
Svi is an enigma. He will make a few threes, then airball five in a row. I don't buy that he's a sharpshooter, so he needs to develop the rest of his game. I see him leaving and going to Europe to hopefully develop his overall game and maybe reappear in a couple years in the NBA.
We have a solid group coming in next year, and I think Self will add a top level point guard. Newman will be a star and Udoka will be very good. I'm very optimistic for next year.
