This is the one that worries me the most, and the #1 weak link is Jackson.
Here are the top 7 guys in order:
Frank Mason: 159 for 205, .776. Not a problem.
Josh Jackson: 90 for 161, .511. PROBLEM.
Devonte Graham: 55 for 71, .775. Not a problem (could get to the line more).
Svi: 25 for 37. .676. So-so
Landen Lucas: 48 for 78, .615 So-so.
Legerald Vick: 32 for 39. .821. Not a problem.
Carlton Bragg: 24 for 38. ..632. So-so.
Not only does Jackson have the lowest percentage, but he also has the 2nd highest attempts. Frank and Josh shoot approximately 60% of our free throws among this rotation. If you pull him out of the list, the rest would average 73% without him.
Not sure that there's much we can do about it at this point. It's clearly something between his ears. I did notice in the OSU game at the end when they were trying to foul us, they were having Josh inbound the ball. Smart call there: he's an excellent passer, at 6'8" he can see better and get over/around the defender on the inbound pass, and if he's passing the ball to somebody else the odds of it being in his hands to foul are nil.
Also the "he's improving" thing seems to have stalled out. While he did have a couple of decent games (6-8 at Texas and vs. WVU) he's currently at 32-55 since February 1st, or 58%
This is one of those "it's not whether it's gonna bite you, but WHEN it's gonna bite you" issues.
