HCBS Postgame From Stillwater

Fast paced game. Everybody running downhill, both sides. Obviously Svi had a rough day overall, but another 6 guys had good games to lift the team.

Devonte did a great job on Forte, Nobody could shut down Carrol and Evans distributed so well.

Josh had a great line, unreal, but the man of the day was Frank. What a line. Hopefully he can continue that right through the tournaments.

Building was electric as usual. Everybody was excited with the fast pace and excellent play. "Can you tell I'm still excited?"

Pressure was off and still is now, just need to play their game in KC then wherever in the NCAA tourney. The guys are having fun it seems, need to continue that attitude of taking care of business and having fun doing it.

We didn't guard great, but that team is hard to guard. Great shots over very good defense at times. Thought we did a very good late to keep them at bay.

Re: his stat line, yeah, good to see, but the win is most important and when he does well, it helps get the win.

Great game, great matchup. Juwan had a great line too.

Days off have helped, and a couple of days off will be good, but overall everybody is in pretty good shape and rested enough.

Ready for the week ahead, got to take pride in every game we play, especially now. Doesn't matter where the games are played, have to perform at a high level.

Important to get that win today since we hadn't got one in Stillwater in a while. Want to win everytime you take the floor regardless of what is at stake...always play for pride.

We responded well with strong play on the road, had a tough loss at home making that road effort more important.

Re: his shooting percentage from the field...on the verge of a record there. Teammates giving him the ball in a good position. Puts the pressure on him to finish when given the opportunity. Individual reward second to the team success. Would be kind of nice though to finish with that high percentage though...would give him one up on his dad (I think that was how it was relayed)...

Team has finished so well night in night out. 16-2 record shows that. So competitive and tough. Finish well regardless of what kind of hole they've dug or how stiff the competition.

Today was a great game, difficult place to play historically and in the Self era. Always looking to make anything an advantage.

Key players with a lot of minutes, a concern, but they don't want to sit on the bench when they can contribute. Frank has said earlier that the guys will rest in between games and be ready. Becomes mental as much as reality in recuperation at this time of year and team has a good concept of what rest is and needs to be.

Bench is finding ways night after night to out up very good numbers collectively. Important to keep up the pace when they come in in relief of the starters. Makes it easier to keep a guy on the bench for a break too.
