So Kelsey Plum passed Jackie Stiles NCAA scoring record last night. Of course it took her 6 more games to do it than Jackie.
Both, however, pale in comparison to KU's Lynette Woodard who scored 3,649 points in fewer games than both and who did so with no three-point shots. She also averaged over 12 rebounds per game over her career.
It troubles me that people seem to think that basketball didn't begin until the NCAA. Lynette and others of her era deserve their place in the record books.
