Great stuff. And all from a kid from humble roots who bleeds Jayhawk through and through.

The other night on Halk Talk, Coach was saying how Frank is growing sad with every passing game, knowing that his college experience at KU is inexorably winding down. We fans will be so sad to see him go, too, and it's kids like Frank -- unheralded recruits who put in the work, absorb Coach's wisdom, and advance steadily over a full 4-year experience -- who punctuate our faith in college basketball.

Frank the Tank. Love that young man.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
