Self-
Unbelievable (again). We can talk about how we didn't play well, but we really put the pieces together down the stretch to have an opportunity to win.
Svi and Devonte 2-18 and we still found a way. LV gave us great minutes, Landon great especially down the stretch. And our player of the year getting it done in every facet.
Late clock defense often very good. Motley was hard to keep contained. Got enough stops and rebounded well in the 2nd.
Poor execution and finishing in the first half while Baylor was getting it done. He looked at the score a couple of times and thought "Oh boy, here we go..." BUT even with that, there were still moments and then the guys closed the half well. "Even though we had played like crap we got momentum."
Talked about their record over that death march of road games and quality opponents. Now, he's tired, team's tired, been a long run with 2 and 2 to finish out. Told the guys that we have put ourselves ingood position, now let's go out and have some fun to finish off the conference season.

Josh-
Frank's pass through traffic to his cut to the basket. That's what he does...I just have to be ready and finish.
When we get down we just pick each other up and work together to get back into it.
Talked some about his defense and his shot blocking. He is always looking to redirect and block shots with his man or on help.
Wants to see them put teams away and win by a wider margin, but win no matter.

Frank-
Regarding the team in general and the late game heroics: toughen up and played tight D late, we just huddled up and talked about everybody deciding to lock in as a team when it has to be done.
Regarding his free throw shooting: He is 20-20 against Baylor...everybody sees the importance and work on free throws, he is happy to see the success for himself and among the team (like Landon). Good to see success from the line when it really matters
Regarding his year: Been fun, but plenty left to accomplish. Not taking anything for granted.
Keep doing what we're doing to get that ring (twitter).

Asst. Coach Howard-
We just continue to compete and battle. We talk over scouting and tendencies of players and the guys do well clamping down when it is critical.
That late clock, late game D is fun to watch, turn it up a notch down the stretch. Always battling...
Frank has been a pleasure to coach. Second to none on toughness. Shot well, fed the ball well, need to keep him fresh when possible. So happy and proud for what he is doing personally and for Kansas basketball. Would be the first to say nothing has been done yet.
The recent stretch did not look particularly good on the schedule, especially compared to the closest competition, but the team has found a way to get it done. The ISU loss was not what anyone would want coming in a tight race and at home, but as a coach you are always looking to put situations to work and it offered a good teaching moment for the team.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Thanks for posting these, Oread! Great stuff, and adds nice color to the win. Not that we needed any after watching all of that neon yellow on display! LOL...
Gotta get out my sunglasses next time I have to watch us play them in Waco...
