it must be for these teams to beat the hoppenshopalies out of us during the majority of the game minutes, only to fall victim to the Slam-a-Jamma Jayhawks in the end!
One could almost feel compassion for our rivals. Oh, yeah.

Same story over and over. This team does not put it in gear until things look like they are about to fly out of control. Loved the look on Drew's face down the stretch.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Agree with you on the demoralizing part, Murph (losing over and over again to KU), but I have to disagree on the notion that they were beating the heck out of us during the majority of the game. The entire second half was a pretty fierce battle. Big contrast to the WVU game, where they literally did beat the snot out of us for almost the entire game, until we seized victory from the jaws of defeat.
As for truly demoralizing, consider this: Baylor has been stacked with athleticism and some really good teams over the past decade-plus. And yet, against the reigning King of the Hill (KU), they're now 4-29 all-time, and Drew has lost 10 in a row to Self. That is incredible.

"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
If both coaches swapped players, Baylor would have won. That's it. We have great players, but so do they. We have a HOF coach. They have a pretty good coach.
