Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
No surprise, the big 4 plus Vick lead way for KU. Mason and Lucas especially had strong +/- with Jackson strong as well.
Overall +/-: Lucas in a landslide. Lucas played 32.3 minutes and KU outscored West Virginia by 22. no other player had a +/- of more than 12.
Offensive Effectiveness: Lucas again. KU scored 2.14 points per minute with Lucas in the floor. Vick was a close 2nd at 2.08 but Jackson was almost 10% lower at 1.96. Surprisingly, the offense was anemic with Svi and Bragg on the floor and I mean anemic scoring 1.32 and 1.14 points per minute respectively.
Defensive Efficiency: Vick edges Lucas out barely. KU held WVU to 1.42 points per minute when Vick was on the floor and 1.46 with Lucas. No other players with with 24% of that. That is amazing.
Overall Effectiveness: Is there any doubt it is Lucas? KU outscored WVU by 0.682 pt/min with Lucas in the game. Amazing.
Delta: Lucas again and only 4 players had positive Deltas. Coleby only played 2 minutes and it was a +/- disaster (but 2 minutes is statistically not enough to be meaningful).

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Good stuff as always, Corpus!
I would add that something that doesn't get tracked in a stat sheet is how CRUCIAL Landon's role was in the press that we went to late in the game. He was hyper-effective on two counts:
* Obstructing the in-bounds passer to the passer's right, which forced him to often have to pass to the temporarily open man to his left, down in the corner.
* Immediately moving into a trap against the WVU player in the corner area. Landon looked like a Sycamore tree from our vantage point, often towering over the WVU guard and forcing him into very obstructed -- and several errant -- passes.
His D kicked butt. And it was pivotal to our press being effective, which was the key to turning the game around -- that and our shots starting to fall!
PS: His putback thunder-dunk during that comeback was a great bucket and, along with the press-enabled turnovers and Devonte's 3's going down, helped blow the roof off the Barn.
Rock Chalk...
