"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Another of the recurring Tobacco Road meteor games takes place tomorrow (Thursday) night in Durham. In 13 previous visits to the cramped confines of Cameron, Roy's tarred heels are 6-7.
Now that is not a bad record on your top rivals home court.
But...
The tarred heels record against Duke in the Traitor Smith Center is a non-stellar 5-8.
They also lost the only ACC Tourney game the two teams have played in the last 13 years, meaning Roy's record against Duke since going home is an inadequate 11-16.
Of particular note, after starting out the first 6 years of the Roy Williams era going 7-5 against the Dukies, over the last 7 years (15 games, starting in 2010), the tarred ones are 4-11 against them.
Yikes!
Of course, this year it seems that the tarred heels have a real chance to improve on the rivalry record of their coach. But with Coach K back on the bench, will they?
Any way both teams can lose?
Hmmm...

Ugh.........you would think that the only "blue blood" basketball to be played anywhere occurs Chapel Hill-Durham. One of the disadvantages of living here. The only thing people around here know about KU b-ball is that Roy Williams once coached there.
I'm with HE.....any way both teams can lose?

Watched most of game- ugh!! Neither team has anything to crow about. Allen fouled out - whined most of the night.
