ISU makes 18 3-pointers. Wow! That could be a factor. Ugh!

KU 21 turnovers, missed FT's but it should not have come down to a close came when you are up 14 points at half. A loss at home stinks, but a conf loss to a team that we beat on the road unfreaking beliveable.

During free throw attempts I breathe with Frank and for Josh. This wasn't Josh's best game, and I'm tired of his taking shots early in the clock and not taking a page out of Frank's free throw routines. Oh, well, regardless of his draft status, he's still a freshman.

It'll feel better when it stops hurting
If I see one more lost opportunity for 2 easy points because someone wants to slam it and misses...

I thought the start of the 2nd half was where we really let it get away. We did not score on something like 4 pssessions in a row and at least 3 of them were just lazy nonchalant give a ways.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
I couldn't agree more with the last two posts.
They came out playing as if they had that 14-point lead in the final minute of the game. The unforced errors were just egregious in that opening span.
Within the historical vault of film reels (now digital clips) for doing the exact opposite of "stepping on the opponent's neck" and "closing out a win strongly," yesterday's exhibition earns a comfortable spot.
