Way to go, Hawks!

Big win, strong TEAM effort.

We won with strong rebounding, great interior penetration and finishing, timely threes, and pretty solid D.

Onward and upward!

Agreed, important win, and liked the guy's grit down the stretch.

Question now: how is Mason's knee?

Yeah. That's worrisome, given that he is the piston that makes our engine fire. Not to mention all the minutes he's played and will be playing.

Looked like they were working around his patella area. Sure hope it's nothing that standard therapy treatments won't resolve.

Lucas was also noticeably ailing throughout the second half. Not sure if it was a cramp or shin splint or what...

Our guys are warriors. Love them all.

Rock Chalk...

+17 rebounds, over 50% from the field but sloppy with the ball and hot shooting late from ISU kept the game close.

Self mentioned that the game was never comfortably in hand but that they led most of the game (except a couple of early ISU leads). He said that was good to see in a venue that they have lost their share of games including the last two. He sounded pretty pleased overall outside of the poor ball control.

The sloppy ball handling was my only real concern in this game. Definitely allowed ISU to stay in the game when the lead should have been double digits much of the night. Failure to tighten that up will lead to defeat against WVU and other stronger defensive teams.
