Hope this is a sign the light has come back on, he's playing hard, cleaning up a lot of other people's messes.

We could use a bit of scoring from Vick though! And Bragg needs Huddy to beat the shit out of him for a month or two!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

I take credit for baiting Bragg into a strong effort with my pre-game provocation:
Lol...
Nice to see him come alive. We really need that to have a higher growth ceiling going forward...
Ames is a tough place, and we need to be on our game at all spots. AND get some decent bench play for a change. Bragg, I'm looking at you!

Was good to see the contribution from the bench tonight overall. Would be nice to see similar production consistently going forward, but I won't hold my breath. Bench play can really help keep this team on the winning end of a lot of tough conference games coming up.

I will admit that I was only 90% watching the game while dealing with some other items, but man I didn't see anything from Bragg that makes me optimistic. In fact, my two friends who text with me during games were both lamenting his horrible play. Missing several short shots. Getting burned, tripping his guy then falling on him. He made some bad passes that showed his lack of understanding of basic offensive fundamentals. Overall consistent with past games, but nothing that makes me think he's ready to break out. I sure hope I'm VERY wrong.

Not sure, but perhaps you were more dialed in on him during the second half than the first. He performed fairly admirably (relative to his play up to now) in the first, scoring most if not all of his 10 points and grabbing some rebounds. Gave us good energy and hit some timely scores--all inside, off the block, which was encouraging.
I think the key to how people judged him tonight is relative to himself and his disappointing season so far. As compared with that, he stepped up a bit.
I've been very down on the guy all year, seeing nothing resembling a needed sophomore growth spurt. Here's hoping he can give us some consistent minutes like the first half tonight going forward. That minor advancement in and of itself would be big for a very thin KU front court.
