Updated DPPI - Through 1/14/2017

KU still ranked 7th in the DPPI and holding steady with the 29th SOS ranking. The SOS will continue to climb and hopefully KU's ranking will climb as well. West Virginia still dominates with Kentucky a strong 2nd. Gonzaga is the only undefeated team and they have a very good shot at heading into the NCAA tourney undefeated. West Virginia and Indiana are the only teams to defeat 2 teams in the top 10. KU has not yet played a top 10 team. Louisville has played 8 top 25 teams (going 5-3) and Oklahoma St. has played 6 (going 1-5). No other team has played more than 5. KU has played only 2 top 25 teams going 1-1. Oddly, Nebraska has played more top 50 teams (9) than anyone. They are 3-6 in those games. Nebraska also has the No. 1 SOS. 7 teams have played 8 top 50 teams. Baylor is one of those teams and they also have the most top 50 wins with 7. KU has played 7 top 50 teams going 6-1. Man that OT loss to Indiana is hurting . As for the Big 12, 3 top 10 teams, 4 top 20 teams and 8 teams in the top 34. Texas is 63rd and Oklahoma is 71st. This is a crazy tough league.
