Game 5 is in the books. Here are some observations

1. CONSISTENCY: West Virginia is highly inconsistent (consistency factor=1.47), with Oklahoma and Baylor right there with them. Texas Tech is also fairly inconsistent. In fact, thus far this season, it is a bimodal conference. Those 4 teams are quite inconsistent and the other 6 teams are all reasonably consistent. 5 of the 25 games thus far have been more than 10 points off of projection. West Virginia has played 3 of those.

2. TRENDS: TCU has the most obvious trend in a good way. They seem to be rising. Texas also has a good trend in that they have been consistently playing above projection. Oklahoma also seems to be on an upswing. With both OU and UT playing better, the top tier teams need to be on full spoiler alert. Texas Tech seems to be possibly waning. Oklahoma St. appears on a slight uptick while K-State seems to be on a slight downtick.

KU continues to be amazingly consistent to projections. KU's performance to projection has a standard deviation of 6.46 which puts them 8th in the entire NCAA D1. Iowa St. is 14th from last. Let's hope KU plays consistently and we get the bad Iowa St.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
