+/- for the Season

As you might imagine, this is a backcourt dominated team. For the season, the top 5 +/- stats belong to back court players. If you know how to interpret these you will see that this team is extremely balanced in +/- compared to past teams. Looking at the +/- alone (ignoring other stats) you would think this team is 9 guys who are very interchangeable. Now that is not exactly true but it is more true I believe of this team than any KU team in recent memory. Here are some highlights.

-- Mason has played the most minutes. He is in the game 85% of the time followed by Graham at 80%
-- Graham has the highest +/- at 219. The Jayhawks have outscored their opponents by 229.
-- Graham has the highest offensive effectiveness but not statistically significant. With the exception of Lightfoots 55 minutes, this team scores just about evenly regardless of who is on the floor.
-- Bragg has the best defensive effectiveness by about 10% better than average. Aside from Bragg this team is incredibly consistent defensively regardless of who is on the floor.
-- Bragg has the best overall effectiveness by virtue of his defensive effectiveness. Devonte' is seconf but overall, this team is very consistent regardless of who is on the floor.
-- Graham has the highest season delta making him the most important guy to have in the game. But one again, aside from Devonte' there is great consistency.

The +/- is painting a picture that this team has a lot of lineup options and they are all pretty effective. Let's hope this holds true and turns out to be a true positive.
