Man is it good to be back talking KU hoops!! The Royals kinda cooled off. The Cubs, yes I said Cubs won the World Series. Who knows what these Chiefs will do? But our guys are back in action, FINALLY.
Watched Fridays game on Saturday after returning from the road and saw some good things. Graham and Mason took up right where they left off and tried to will this team to a win. Really liking Jackson and what I hope he can become for this team. My sleeper for this team is Vick. I loved his play in Korea and I really expected him to have a bigger role last year but I guess we have to defer to HCBS’s knowledge of this team. Svi, I thought was solid and more, crud, WWAAYY more confident than I have ever seen him.
That leads us to the not so good side of the team. The bigs. Yuck. I hope not a single shot went in the hoop the last couple of days and the whole team is ready to puke when someone says the word rebound. Thomas Bryant is a very good player but I’m not sure he is the dominating force we saw a couple days ago. He appeared to me to just want it more. That I am sure will not stand with HCBS.
Speaking of Puke….no rest for the weary. I hope we can find a way to stop the new version of JJ Reddick, Grayson Allen, (really? Who names their kid Grayson? Only a Duke parent!). Stopping the three was not our strong suit on Friday, I am sure we have worked on some closeout defense. Either way, they have to win tonight. Its my freakin birthday. How could they not?
