Below is the data summary for the Indiana game. The first table is a summary of the player rating. Mitch Lightfoot had a monster rating of 1.43 per minute but it is pretty meaningless since he only played 2 minutes. Frank Mason on the other hand had a monster rating and it is very meaningful. His 1.11 per minute puts him in the top 7% of performances overall but doing that against a top 25 type team makes this a top 10 overall performance in the last 4 years. If you consider the minutes played, this is probably a top 3 performance over the last 4 years. Only Perry Ellis against Texas last season and Naadir Tharpe against Iowa St. in 2014 can match up. We definitely witnessed a great performance by Frank. Carlton Bragg also had a very very high rating. Against a top 20 type team you probably want a rating per minute above 0.5. Josh Jackson was the only other player above that. Graham, Mykhailiuk and Lucas did not have terrible ratings but not good enough. Vick's rating was pretty subpar and Azubuike was bad. Some other stats to look at are the rebounds per 40 minutes. Lucas had 8 rebounds in 35 minutes or 8 per 40 minute. He needs at least 11 per 40 minutes and really north of 12. * per 40 minutes is not good. Carlton had 8.9 per 40 minutes. For a 4 man we need at least 10 so he was subpar as well. Josh Jackson got 8.9 which is pretty good for a big wing. Svi, on the other hand, had only 5 per 40 minutes which is well below the 8 we need from a big wing. Vick had 1.4 which is not going to work. The other stat to look at is shooting%. Josh Jackson had a very freshmanlike SE of 37.5%. That is not good. I hate to sound like I am being critical of Frank but with his amazing overall performance he still managed an SE of only 54.5%. This is not bad but those 4 missed treys hurt him. We did not shoot the three well and our shot selection overall was not good. Hey, our ball handling was quite good.
