It's November, and the asteroid is back at perihelion!

The Sagarin starting ratings are out, and here is the season projection
based on those ratings. The projection is as reliable as the starting
ratings, which means not very. They are heavily biased by last season,
and won't be unbiased by last season until sometime around mid December.
Also note that only one of George Washington and Georgia will be a real
opponent. We won't know which one until the first round games of the CBE
are played. The Jayhawks are favored in 28 of 31 games, with the
cumulative number of wins right around 25. The consecutive road games
with West Virginia and Kentucky will be the roughest stretch for Kansas,
and the other game in which the Jayhawks aren't favored is the Champions
Classic tilt with top-ranked Duke. Kansas is favored by only 5 points
against Indiana in the Armed Forces Classic (and I have a ticket to that
game - yay!).

Thanks Asteroid. Looking forward to your updates as the numbers become more meaningful.

We'll sometimes the numbers lie :P... Tough start to the season, got to play stronger on the boards. We'll see how they play Tuesday, but 0-2 is looming. Hope the boys can gain a split.
