Off Topic But:

An American finally won the 1500 meter in the Olympics. I had tears in my eyes. The first American to win since 1908, yes 1908!. We were robbed in 1952 when Wes Santee a KU graduate (RIP 1910) was forced to run his second best event the 5000 not the 1500 which he certainly would have metaled and likely Gold. Most of us know the Jim Ryun story. He was in my class at KU and I saw him break 4 min in HS. and run close to 4 on my high school track as a senior in high school.

Glad we got the gold. Raise a toast to our guys that coulda shoulda and our new Gold medal winner
