Bedore's last LJW story? Still battling: Ellis fighting for spot in pro ranks
“I’m just still looking at options, NBA, overseas, trying to keep playing. Whatever comes about and whatever I have to do, I’m going to take that route,” Ellis said.

Gorillahawk, is Gary retiring or departing? I sure hope not. He's a Rock when it comes to KU coverage.

Konza, Simons sold LJW to WV based Ogden Newspapers.

Gary's was one of several contracts that was not picked up by Ogden.
I hope he lands with the TCJ.

Ugh. I sure hope he lands with the TCJ as well. That would seem like a no-brainer move on their part, given his institutional knowledge on KU hoops and sports. He is now, I believe, the Dean of KU coverage out there (kind of like Denny Matthews with Royals baseball).
Fingers crossed...
And thanks for the update, HE!

From a good source, Gary will be reporting in the KC Star on KU BB. Will be officially announced in about a week. Also heard that Bill is really PO'D with the new LJW owners about how Gary's firing was handled..
