Liberty Big Man Evan Maxwell Transfers To KU

"Evan Maxwell, a 6’10” 240 lb sophomore big man out of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania has accepted a scholarship from Jayhawk Head Coach Bill Self and will transfer from Liberty University to the University of Kansas.

Maxwell, who chose KU over Baylor and Virginia Tech, averaged 10.0 points and 4.8 rebounds a game last year for Liberty and will have to sit out the upcoming season in accordance to NCAA transfer rules.

A lot can happen from now until the 2017-18 season, but I wouldn’t expect Maxwell to be a huge impact player. I see him more of a Hunter Mickelson type player who will be more of a role player and good practice body."
