Well, maybe it's sort of a scoop. Closest I will ever come anyway.

I meet lots of fellow Jayhawk enthusiasts when I shop, and today was no exception.

After exchanging comments of, "I like your shirt" and "I like yours, too," as we passed in the pet food aisle, we met again at the checkout counter. We talked a bit about Jackson and departing players, then he mentioned that he was associated with the Williams Fund and that at one of the events, Greg Gurley shared with him that he believed next year's team would be even better. He also said Gurley thought Bob Davis' son was going to be Bob's replacement. What a great time at the grocery store! (For a change.)

Hi, Wheatie--

Although I once threatened to drive 8 miles into Missouri to pay a lower sales tax, I still shop locally--in Leavenworth.

Being so close to Lawrence, there are loads of KU b-ball fans here. When the 'Hawks won the championship in 2008, I heard fireworks, horns honking, gun shots, and the sound of my own voice shouting, "Yahoo!!" at the top of my lungs on my front porch.

How 'bout you? Are you in northeast Kansas, too?

Murph--

I am no where near God's country.......I'm in Southern California. Just work here until I retire in a few......
89 year old Mom Unit still lives near Lawrence, so I try to get back 3 times a year.

WSG.

Hello from another Leavenworthian, although I have been trapped in Tucson for the last 30 years. I still consider Leavenworth home.

It'll feel better when it stops hurting
