Not to beat a dead horse, but if you can't take this then just don't read it:

Key conclusion:
It was, at best, a curious decision by Rastatter. A Vine recording of the play shows Graham’s shoulder striking Hart in the leg as he reaches the basketball and gathers it. Certainly there was contact, but it also was not egregious in the realm of loose-ball retrievals. The basketball was there for the taking. Graham took it.

DeCourcy saw it just as I did in front of me in the arena. And he is
anything but a KU homer. He watches KU a lot, but he's a national commentator and calls it like he sees it.
There were 34 seconds left, KU with the ball, down 2, when that play occurred... The game was hanging in the balance, and still eminently winnable. Yet once the phantom foul was called, KU was forced to foul and the Villanova free throw-fest commenced.
That was the dagger in our heart...how sad is it that it was thrust by a zebra, rather than an actual opposing player in the game?
(Note: that call on D-tae was not made by the Philly ref--that dude called the other four on him...)
