Add the announcers to the Mickey D all-star game on now. Jay Williams and Jalen Rose - talking about everything but the game. Stinks.
Azu looks fairly good - JJ looks great.

Couple of quick take-aways. Josh Jackson was co-MVP with another Jackson. West won. Both color guys (Jay Williams and Jalen Rose) were asked where they would choose to play now if just coming out of high school. Rose said UCONN because of Coach Olle - J Wil said either KU or UK, because of coaches and environment at AFH. ROCKCHALK KU!!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

I heard that Jay W comment--thought that was pretty cool. (Of course, first they said "other than Duke, where you played")
The ESPN "Insider" scouting report on Josh notes that he has an explosive game moving outside-in to the rim, and is a voracious rebounder. But it pegged him as a guy who needs to work a lot more on his outside shot. I saw some replays, though, of him knocking down a couple shots. How did his shooting form look, based on this one (admittedly superficial) game?
How did Azu look?

JJ looked good. In first half he brought the ball up a lot - tossed a couple of great lobs - was very active. Seemed confident of his play.
Saw Azu in 1st half - a big guy, but ran fairly well. Had a couple of close in shots. Didn't see him as much in 2nd half (not saying he didn't play) - announcers were talking about everything but the game, so hard to tell who was playing much of the time.

I saw Josh Jackson nail a three right in his defenders face...he did a little step to get his man off of him, sort of a pump fake and nailed it. Azu looks huge and really slow and I didn't like that he was at some times walking down the court. In fact one play he didn't even go back on D. He just stayed at the other end. He did look like a beast down low though that's for sure.
Ferguson was a high flyer too. It's hard to tell in this game though. They are all doing funky stuff to look cool. I'm sure John Wooden wouldn't even recruit them. haha.

HA. JR...maybe I caught Azu in the second half. He looked winded when I watched him. Very big and lumbering was my take. I do like Jackson a lot though. He's very wells spoken too.

Once Bill gets him in boot camp, has him run the stairs in the Barn, and barf a few times in the trash can at the end of the court, he'll be broken of the above tendency.

Like I said, I was never sure I saw him in 2nd half. He wasn't the fastest guy on the court, but at 6'11" & 270, he was moving okay. Have to admit they were playing racehorse bb - KU doesn't play anywhere near that fast. As Konza said, am sure KU will work on his stamina, etc.
Agree - think Jackson would make an immediate impact.
