"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
All I've been doing is surfing the web checking out uncommitted PGs because I just *know* Self & Co are going to ask for my help at the last minute.
But I had to laugh and think "Wouldn't it be ironic?" if Self & Co surprised us all by signing this kid ?
He's had knee trouble that has apparently scared some schools away, but between Rivals and Verbalcommits.com he has existing offers from Florida St, Gonzaga, Memphis, Nevada, Oregon, USC and San Francisco. His dad says he's "looking for the right program".
You ask "Are you crazy, HE?"
Hey, it's nuthin' but a little sumthin' to do...

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

Bibby just voted AZ player of the year, ahead of Lightfoot. His genes alone are worth the risk. His dad could shoot a little bit.

It's certainly one way to exorcise the demons of '97 (by dealing with it head-on), though every time I would see the kid I'd think of Lute Olson and cringe.
