Thanks for all the Big 12 championships, but too underachieving in post-season. I want a review of the head coach position.

I think there is no shame in losing to V. We made it a game when we really could not hit shots. I think our effort was there but you need to give V some credit. I do not understand why so many bogus calls went against Graham but that is just how that game went.

Seriously? What exactly are you wanting to change?

I would imagine that the players and the coaching staff are feeling much worse than any of the fan-base right now. And you come here to insinuate that we should consider changing out the head coach. Sad.

Nova was beatable tonight, yet KU comes out an panics and plays their worst game of the season. HCBS is 2-6 in EE games, 2-4 at KU, 1-4 as the higher seed. This games stunk to high heaven and you don't get many chances with loaded teams, '10. 11, '16. HCBS needs to figure out what happens between S16 and EE

Occasionally youv'e got to hit a shot. I feel bad for myself and all the members of the Jayhawk family, but I really feel bad for the guys. That stinker probably cost Perry and Wayne about three millions dollars apiece. It always hurts extra when you lose because you played a bad game rather than because the other team played a good one.

Something needs to change. I'll take another NC for the next 5 league championships. In the business world, HCBS would have been fired 3 years ago... This isn't just another, oh crap, we just got outplayed by a better team. We have tried every combination to win it all.? One an dones... Top recruits.... Experience... I worked too hard as a "6th man" at Allen spurring the team on to a win to just say, once again, oh well, there's always next year..

During the 17 game winning streak, the one thing we saw every game was courage. They never showed fear, never appeared nervous, and they executed, regardless of the setting or the situation. Tonight it all vaporized. Selden shoots 2 airballs right out of the gate, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Ellis missed shot after shot, never once bringing his man outside and taking a shot or two to open things up inside. Planning or serendipity?

This was one of the strangest games I've ever seen KU play. The bench was shut out. We couldn't draw iron half the time on 3s. Phantom fouls added to the pain. And we never seemed to figure out how to hand the ball to our own.

And at the end of the evening, if Selden's last 3 stays down, we win. Bizarre, disappointing and capable of turning me into a nihilist. I imagine Self is devastated, probably even more than the players, because he knows his record in the Elite 8. He makes the money, and at some point he's got to start delivering. Pretty soon he'll be known as the 'Bobby Cox of College Basketball.'

I might have a faulty memory, but the last 2 times we busted out in the E8, didn't we play in the NC game the next year?

The team lost this game because they could not put the ball in the basket. Shots they made all year they missed tonight and because of it they panicked at times. Seldon has been great most of the year but tonight he shot 3 wide open air balls.
Only thing I wish is that our bench would have been trusted a little more, but in the little amount of time they were in they did not defend well enough for coach to keep them in.

I have played enough hoops to know that it is easier to throw the ball in the general direction of the rim than it is to run offense. We got lazy and we got beat .Stuff usually in not that simple. This time it is.

If the clowns running football could win three or four games this would suck a bit less.

Really? We're calling for the head coach's job? I believe he was at least part of the reason we started the win streak to get the Big 12 Championship. I questioned what we were doing early and was concerned, but it turned around and we found some success. I'm not happy we lost tonight, but I'm not sure he was the reason we were missing the open shots. Or behind (potentially questionable) calls. I made the comment, recently, why do they even make Elite 8 shirts. That's for those teams that don't get there very often. That's not Kansas. I personally, will NEVER buy an Elite 8 shirt. We're better than that. This may be harsh, but if you want the coach gone, go find another team. In the meantime, I will try and support our success. Maybe that's the real problem. We just expect more. I want a better outcome, but it's not going to happen this year.

I'm going to turn my ire to the NCAA format. It seems to me that the single elimination format only shows who can muster a 6-game winning streak. It's not about the best team in the country or who is hot down the stretch. Maybe basketball should consider some sort of play-off format like football did.?

This team had a great year. Didn't play well tonight on the offensive end. Did play with a lot of heart however. Proud to be a Jayhawks fan.

Well, I didn't say I want HCBS "gone." I said I want there to be a review. He is ultimately accountable and he has to produce more than league championships. This was another post season failure.

Of course it was HCBS' fault we lost. He coached the players to make bad passes, to miss free throws, and to hurl the ball either a foot past the basket, a foot short, or off to one side or the other. He encouraged players to miss shot after shot, especially in the first half.
He is rumored to have asked specifically for the 3 refs who did the game, hoping to make our guys experience more frustration that usual, having to battle 8 men instead of 5 on the court, thereby making them tougher.

How sad that he is getting any blame for this loss. If he were to blame for it, who was responsible for all those consecutive wins?

HE. 2-6 in Elite Eight is not a flattering stat. It is almost exact opposite of 7-2 record in Sweet 16. HCBS has to be asking himself wtf.

All I'm asking is, at what point do we, the University, whoever, review why in-season success does not translate to post-season success? Shoot, the 2008 NC came only after Mario's "miracle" shot...

Because a 6 game streak through the tourney is all about match ups and a little luck. 08 we had a little luck go our way. Many times it has not and injuries have played a role over the years as well.
