I was at a watch site here in the Bay Area last night so I was off the grid (and wagon! ). I want to let you know what a BIG hit your website was at our table. I had it on my phone the whole evening and swiped from game to game. Everybody would check in with the progress. I don't know the algorithm and such, but we all loved the site. Thanks Doc!

That's Nate Silver's site. It started as a political forecasting/probabilities site associated with the NY Times. It's evolved since then to look at sports, etc. One of my favorite sites, indeed!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

Silver's da man! He has a book out called "The Signal and the Noise," which I'm reading right now. Interesting stuff for stat heads. :)
