A question for the all-knowing.........

Does anyone have an idea as to what is/are the criteria for determining when teams play? Brackets? Teams? Network preferences?

The west coast games basically are afternoon and early evening games while our bracket (playing in Kentucky) don't begin until early evening with a very late beginning for the second game.

With it being a weeknight, I'm guessing the networks have to wait for "prime time" to begin on the east coast, which means games tip after 7pm. And in this case, they have to get in 4 games, so one of the "South" games slips to the later time slot.

ESPN is actually showing the West regional game as the latest game, according to this:

It's definitely a pretty late tip...the game will barely finish (assuming no OT) before midnight Louisville time.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
