“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Baylor can't beat freaking Yale, and Puke is throttling them by 27 in the first half.
Way to make the Big 12 look horrible, morons!

Agree. But, Baylor is only part of the disaster. Yesterday was horrible for Big XII teams and really makes the conference look bad. I was somewhat surprised at the folks on this board hoping Big XII teams would lose.

"When you have a ruling class that doesn’t believe in — or even much like — the fundamental values of the nations it rules, things tend to work out poorly.”
Glenn Reynolds
The Big 12 is/was a 'gimmick' league. WVU was hack and hope, OU is Heald for 3 and Heald for 3, etc., Iowa State is score more or else, Texas is shake 'em up, Shaka, and Baylor is just a crappy zone and pray team. We are, in reality, the only real team in the Big 12, and that is why we won it again. It could be a simple matter of mediocre talent, or mediocre coaching, but we are the best team, with the best coach, and the best talent. This year it became apparent to me more than most years, because I was so down on the team 2 months ago, and I watched them rise from the dead and simply crush our opponents. In one and out tournaments, gimmicks usually don't work well, especially if the gimmick teams are facing good coaches. And that is what happened this year. But put a really good coach on a team with smart and disciplined players, and they will prevail when facing lessers. That is what happened.

Losing in the final second to a banked-in 50-footer? That was pure luck for UNI. Big 12 should've had that one...

I don't care one way or the other whether someone roots for other B12 teams or not, but I've personally never cared whether the other teams win or lose. I love KU, but don't have much concern for the B12 in general. I don't think anyone in the country, other than the media who have to prattle on about everything, cares about the strength of our conference, or diminishes anything KU does due to the other teams' performance in the tourney.
I think Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. are great teams, regardless of their conference foes or whether the ACC or SEC overall performs well in the tourney.
I dislike Drew for what a weenie he is, so I enjoy watching Baylor lose. I don't like the WVU thugs and chuckled when their schtick didn't play well to the refs. Shaka opened his yap against KU, so I enjoy watching him lose. From a state perspective, I'm sick of hearing the Shockers say KU is scared to play them, so I enjoyed watching Marshall lose.
I'd like ISU and OU to win because they are classy competitors for KU.
Ultimately I care about how far KU goes, and I couldn't care less whether our B12 foes get out of the first round, and I absolutely don't believe their lack of success tarnishes one thing KU has accomplished.
Just my view of things.
Rock Chalk!!
