Wow.

Has an 11 seed ever been favored over a 3 seed before?

And Midwest Region #3 Utah v #11 Gonzaga is projecting to be a toss up.
I have not been *that* impressed with the Zags in the games I have seen them.
To be fair, I wasn't that impressed with Utah in the one game I saw them, either, but still...

Interesting tournament.

Anyone choosing to reply, please remember the RCB rules -- no discussing of the actual odds, please. I feel offbase enough just mentioning these little oddities, but they seemed worthy of note. Thanks!

Here's to hoping that KU plays to seed all the way to the Final Four, and then really kicks butt and takes names.

I was at the Midwest Region games in Denver on Thursday. Utah lumbered and almost faltered at the end. the Zags played well against a Seton Hall team that didn't seem to have a plan. Utah v Zags will be low scoring but Iowa St v UA-Little Rock should be lots of fun. Little Rock has a Buddy Hield style player in Hagins, who gave the best interview yesterday of any player interviews I've seen all tournament. Since neither team plays great defense, it should be a fun rockin-and-rollin game. The Pepsi Center has lots of TVs in the hall so I'll be ducking out frequently to watch the Jayhawks. Sure wish the NCAA and CBS would consult me on schedule times.

My DPPI shows Wichita St. to be a 0.5 point favorite over the Miami Hurricanes.
Gonzaga/Utah game to be an exact dead heat.
KU is favored over UConn by 6.5
Kentucky is favored over Indiana by 0.75 points so close to a dead heat.
Maryland favored over Hawaii by 6.
Villanova over Iowa by 6
Oregon over St. Joseph's by 5.3
Duke over Yale by 2.1
Texas A&M over UNI by 5.2
Oklahoma over VCU by 4.4
North Carolina over Providence by 9.8
Notre Dame over SF Austin by 0.3
Xavier over Wisconsin by 5.2
Virginia over Butler by 8.8
Iowa St. over Little Rock by 4.9
Syracuse over Middle Tennessee by 8.4

The tectonic shock of Michigan State's loss is still resonating today.

11-0 WSU run since your post. A lot of basketball to be played.

I am simply amazed at WSU's tenacity at offensive rebounding.Even when they're out-sized, they crash the boards with waves of players who soar high and get good position. I don't know what kind of drills they run in practice, but they have incredible energy and execution skills around the rim.

Their 20-point lead has been eviscerated by the Shockers. Now down to 5, and the mojo is entirely with WSU right now.

Incredible...

... Wichita St is done for the season.

Congrats to Miami for surviving and advancing. I do like Jim Larranaga, and will root for him and his team until they meet the Jayhawks.

Heck of a game...

Agree on Larranaga, HE. I watched him for years nearby at GMU. He's a good coach.

I thought Miami was toast in the 2nd half... They countered quite well at the end.

Congrats to VanVleet and Baker on phenomenal college careers...they have been quite the tandem.

Did Conner get much playing time? I got to watch only the last few minutes, and he entered the game then.
