11 Lower Seeds

With 10 games to go (22 games in the books) 11 lower seeds have won in round 1. The record for lower seeds winning is 2001 when 13 teams seeded 9-16 won in round 1. In 1989 and 1999 12 teams won. This would be the 4th most. I am kind of hoping for 3 more to break the record starting with South Dakota St. over Maryland. As Elmer Fudd would say, "Go Jack wabbits!!"
