Mykhailuk looked amazing. So good, if he were to keep it up an NBA exec may want to take a chance on him in the first round. Of course, if he played this well through the tournament we will probably also win the National Championship.

I certainly hope Diallo stays next year. He has the potential to be one of the best big men in the country. Vick's talent is sick. He should end up becoming a great one at KU. What a bench!

The lads on the bench did a great job...and our starters got to rest a LOT prior to having to take on a tough UConn team.

Svi was AMAZING, in every phase. ;)

Good stuff...

His shot, his drives to the hoop, his overall ball handling. It seemed he was playing point with Wayne, Devonte, and Frank on the bench.

You gotta include Vick. Looked like he had been a starter all year. I didn't remember he was even still on the team. What an awesome performance by our so called second string.

I felt this was the most energized the bench play has been all year. There was a level of confidence that just oozed out. I know that Austin Peay is not to the level of most of the Big12, but this was a big stage and the young men showed up. I love the fact that they stretched the lead during their floor time. After awhile, they were just trading baskets and their defense began to lack.

All in all, a great effort and I hope it does nothing but build confidence, not only for themselves, but for Coach Self and the rest of Jayhawk Nation.

Watch Diallo on Sat. I suspect that he is going to be essential to our win.

The extended playing minutes by the bench also allowed our starters to get some valuable rest. Our lads should be fully "charged up" for the UCONN game tomorrow.
