Watching the replay this morning and at least 2 of Carlton's 2nd half fouls were just BS, and both called by the same ref -- who was not the ref with the best view of the play in either case. Bragg was doing just as taught, holding his ground (as best he could against Williams) and Williams backing into him. Should not have been a foul in either circumstance, result was giving Williams free trips to the line, which he hit.
I really think Bragg does not get those calls once he is no longer a freshman with a freshman rep for fouling. SMH until then.
He's had most of a year with Hudy, looking forward to seeing him next season after another summer with her.

I was just wondering about this, HE. I was thinking.....was it simply physically impossible for Carlton to establish position and not let Williams keep moving and force Carlton backward? That is, just stop and let Williams knock him over...from what you are saying (I think) is he tried that and got called for a foul.....kind of a softish blocking foul, if you will?
I did notice when he "picked on someone his own size". Landen...that didn't seem to happen.
Wait until Smiley gets Hudy-I zed!!!

RKCKJHK!!!
Could not agree more strongly HE. It almost seems like a hazing ritual with freshman and the refs. Like a "This isn't AAU or high school.... meat" message. Cole, TRob, the Morrises all seemed to foul constantly as newbies. Then as they got older the same plays were no calls. Seems to repeat itself but I bet the same thing will happen with young Mr. Bragg. This trip to KC has been quite the coming out party for Carlton and I for one could not be more happier for him. Keep bringing it young fella!!
