WHY does Fox Sports differentiate between...

... a regular season conference title and and conference tournament title, but ESPN does not? 
Just saw the end of the Pac12 tournament, and they made the distinction -- Oregon won both the regular season and the conference tournament championships. (There, they just said it again, Pac-12 Conference Tournament championship!)
All the time we hear ESPN calling the Big 12 Tournament title the Big 12 Championship, not the Big 12 Tournament Championship.
Of course, it doesn't help those following college hoops this time of year that the Big 12 itself calls it the Big 12 Championship, not the Big 12 Tournament Championship (see the brackets title).
And since the ACC (the conference that ESPN is in bed with) does not award a regular season MBB championship, its easy to understand why ESPN doesn't worry about the difference.

Just blowing off steam about a pet peeve.
THERE - they said it again! Even the Pac-12 officials make the distinction (and that's probably why ESPN doesn't bother, the Big 12 officials don't )
