I hope he doesn't get too down on himself, but I do love that he is so keyed to performing well, and not just accepting his performance because KU won.

Landen only played 24 minutes, though, due to foul trouble, and Devin was having his way in the paint with Jamari and Carlton as well. Despite Williams' solid night, he grew frustrated with Lucas's defense on multiple occasions, which was a good sign.
Sometimes you just have to hand it to a foe who goes "beast mode" on you--just as WVU has to hand it to Devonte tonight. Thankfully, KU has a well-balanced attack, while the Mountaineers only had Devin working for them tonight.

Yeah, Williams was getting visibly frustrated in H2, says tons about LL's work.
Re: no one else really hitting for them against KU, especially from outside -- I was hoping their outside game would be weak after the relatively great outside game they had against OU. They haven't been an outside shooting team all year, so I didn't think they would manage to be for two games in a row, especially the way the Hawks are playing perimeter D now. Sooo glad I guessed right!
