It was great to see the young lad, Carlton Bragg contribute offensively today from a variety of places on the floor. He seems to have a nice stroke and is not afraid to pull the trigger. He was asked in the postgame presser how it felt to be able to contribute the treys rather than just watching them and all he could say was, "It was great, just great! HCBS piped in to add that this was Carlton's first time in a postgame presser and that he might be a little nervous. Great stuff. Coach also said that this might be the first time someone has been asked to come in for questions who has zero rebounds. Self has a way of using some unique moments for teaching.
It's just too bad that Bragg couldn't stay on the floor some more due to foul trouble and eventually fouling out. Coach said he was hoping to get 20 minutes from him. With all of the fouls, I think it reveals how far he is behind defensively and is likely why he is not seeing more playing time.
With all of that said, I keep thinking and hoping that we have a younger version of Perry waiting in the wings in Bragg. his game is a little different, but he seems to possess some of the same skills.
