"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
So cool: twitter is blowing up with a new meme that shows a cool dozen Big 12 Trophies lined up on the court and several variation of copy that essentially say, "this is how we storm the court at Kansas".
Just awesome. Win a big game, and the trophy case empties itself to welcome it's newest member!!!!
Rock Chalk x 12.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

But, IIRC, this is a shot from last year after 11 in a row. Unless I'm counting incorrectly, there are 11 trophies up there. (I recommend counting the bases.) Regardless, it's a great meme!

No idea. I pulled it from the KC Star's report on social media reaction to the win.

That's great! I love the way they built 12 into the word Straight in the video closing graphic! GOT to find a tee with that puppy!
Thanks, j969!

Sorry Konza. I should've done my research first. It seems they've done this the past couple of years. And they line up all the priors with the most current trophy standing alone.

Exactly. The 11 old, crappy ones get lined up in has-been row. The new, shiny one gets it's own little table out front.
It's also 14 out of the last 15 years. The storage of these things is really getting to be a pain in the butt. I'm suggesting that we petition the conference to build us a trophy warehouse to store all of these. It's really not fair to KU to burden us with finding a place for one of these things every year.
