Most excellent! I just watched the game and it's amazing how good we were in 2008. I had completely forgotten what a terrific game Cole Aldrich played that day. Watching Roy's despair was so much ...............well, I enjoyed it.

i periodically re-watch that game and ALWAYS enjoy it. It was a fantastic game and extra sweet since it was UNC.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
As that game wound down, I couldn't resist:
I couldn't hold off until the following Monday. For so many reasons, that FF game deserved to have a cork popped. And my, did it (and the victory) taste so sweet...
PS: I kept that bottle as a memento...it's with all my other KU memorabilia on the "shrine" near the big-screen TV.

Me too. The first half was a thing of beauty - big Cole swatting Tyler Hansbrough's shots (POY my a**). The UNC fans around us were in disbelief. Letting the lead slip to 4 in the 2nd half was scary, but soon expanded it. For me, a much more enjoyable game than the NC, since it looked like KU was doomed.
