267th BB game with Mizzou.
I was there with my 1st grandchild. Truly Historic, Even if I get dementia I won't forget it.
Watched it again this morning. If you don't watch anything else watch the last 2 minutes of reg and overtime
Happy anniversary to all of us.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits”. Albert Einstein
There as well. Had seats (from a successful auction bid) right behind the TV commentators. By far the loudest I have ever heard AFH and I have been attending games for about 43 years. Amazing finish. Crowd stayed around for a long time soaking up, basking in, the result.

T-Rob's swat, am I thinking the right thing here? Getting chills thinking about it.

Lousy camera phone footage, but a fan's perspective. Find yourselves in the crowd!

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
From an officiating forum
Was it a block or a foul?

I was thinking the same thing, NotO.
That brought me right up off the couch with a piercing scream. Scared the poor cat to death....took one of his lives, I think.
Looooooooooooooooooved T Rob.....for many reasons.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
That was an amazing win, an amazing game, and an amazing day for KU--all the way around. And I appreciate you posting this, HE, because I'll never forget how Jay Bilas ranted over and over that night on ESPN about how that was a foul by T-Rob--which immediately tainted the KU win and cemented the narrative for all those who tend to see KU as the villain. I was very miffed at Bilas for that (especially how black-white adamant he was, and raising his voice to make the point). Like the refs on that forum said, the media always wants to see a foul even when there isn't one.
I submit that that was probably one of the greatest games the Fieldhouse has ever seen...and think of its history. If ever the roof was going to blow off, it was that day.

Thanks HE. My grandson always contended it was a foul and was upset. Not even having Coach come by our table 2 hrs after the game soothed his nerves. I will print and save this for some future date.
My most visceral memory of the game was the last 8.3 seconds and the immediate follow on.
On the last play in overtime the crowd was actually very intent on watching the final play by MU. The noise and decibels had significantly diminished. When the MU did not get the shot off in time the decibels went to 120+ within a matter of 1+ seconds or less. To me it sounded like an explosion. I have never experienced that and may never again. So glad I forked over the money and bought the tickets.
