Andrew,
I was going through some files on the old hard drive and came across this.
Noting the date, it occurred to me that perhaps it was "that" time of year again, if you've got the time.
(Seems especially timely with Bayhawk's recent shout out to "guests" and users to get on the board and contribute.)
Here's a look back seven years...
A BLAST FROM THE PAST!

So I was curious as to when I wrote the post about naming the RCB All-Stars. It was one year ago yesterday.

This year, it's still pretty much the same
Head Coach - DAVE
First Team (in no order)
1. NWGreybeard (Insightful and informative comments provide a key foundation for the RCB)
2. Senex (His tell-it-like-is commentary brings excitement to the board)
3. Kong (Provides intelligent analysis of the Jayhawk basketball)
4. Eyehawk (see NWG)
5. Big Guy (Doesn’t post as often as the others on the first team, but provides great commentary and analysis when he does)
Second Team (in no order)
1. rolliss
2. Asteroid
3. unljayhawk
4. Not Ostertag
5. Doug
Third Team (in no order)
1. HawkErrant
2. Franklinhawk
3. SED (with that one long paragraph of analysis)
4. underdog
5. jaygirl
Rookie of the Year (ROY) - Bayhawker & IowaHawk (I think he/she's new)
Specialty awards (All winners from last year)
1. Best paraphraser of a HCBS interview – xVaJHawk
2. Most enthusiastic supporter of team – Jhawkmom
3. Best on-going usage of a senior moment joke – texkan (nurse, more jello please)
4. Best usage of asterisks in the subject line – texkan
6. Best statistical analysis of KU and Big 12– Asteroid
7. Best at researching and then confirming or disproving a piece of information – Doug
8. Most knowledgeable international posters – Swisshawk and Latvihawk
9. Most creative handle – NotOstertag and Hudson J. Hawk (you have to know their stories to appreciate them)
10. Most civil Mizzou fan – MarcTiger
11. Best at providing KU in-game updates - hairyhawk
Again, I truly do love reading everyone's posts. This list was done in good fun. I'm curious as to everyone elses opinions.
Thanks,
Andrew

These "acknowledgements" were BIG fun, and Port was a genius (IMHO).
I ask only that he wait to the end -- yes, the end of the season*,
RC

Scrolling through the names of yore, I became nostalgic for a lot of previous posters who are MIA . . .
RIP to those who have gone to the great "Phog" above,* but I sure miss the rest who are with us but have lost their way . . . .
PLEASE COME BACK!!! For those of you who know "lost" Jayhawks, tell them of the new board! We are here, we are strong (Thanks Dave), and we will persevere . . .
Rock Chalk Jayhawk, go KU!!!

Talk about a blast from the past. Thanks so much for still holding on to this and for posting it to the board. I most certainly would like to post a 2016 version. I enjoy putting this list together and take the task very seriously. The main issue holding me back is that old nemesis -- time. If I can't get to it by the end of the school year, then I'll look to make it happen over the summer. (I know readership is down during that time, but maybe a current All-Star team will provide some good fodder for conversation.)

Understand the time constraints, my friend. Looking forward to it when you can get to it!
