It has been said there are three kinds of lies, 1) Lies, 2) damn lies, and 3) statistics. But good grief, KU is about as statistically certain of winning as can be barring a complete meltdown. Of course if Perry is out with his eye, that could be a meltdown. Ouch!!

I like these odds. Though as all of us realize lots depend on Perry's eye.

The probabilities for OU and WVU play out as I thought they would in my 4 games to go post ., a virtual tie for them.

Needless to say, I *really* like KU's probabilities!

Thanks, Corpus!

PS:
Weird subconscious -- I first wrote "chances" then changed the word to "probabilities" -- or thought I was doing so.
What was on the screen when I realized I was "messin' up" rather surprised me though.
Intended: "probabilities"
Typed: "cribabkitieis"
Hmmm...

Things played out perfectly. WVU started the day a game back with 5 to play. OU served them up with another loss and KU won.

At 8am we needed to win 4 of 5 left to guarantee anything. About 12 hours later, we only need to win 2 of 4 to guarantee at least a share of the championship. I think we can play .500 ball from here out.

Road trips to Texas and Baylor won't be easy. Tech and ISU in Lawrence should be wins, but neither are guarantees. If we can win at Baylor on Tuesday it'll go a long way to sealing things up heading back to Lawrence and Tech on Saturday. Here's to the guys locking this down on our home court on Saturday.
