Interesting article by Mr. Keegan.

One month ago today, Oklahoma State smoked Kansas by 19 points. It’s amazing how much better this team is now and the paring of the rotation has had at least a little to do with that.

Again, I think it will take hindsight for us fans to evaluate these choices. IF we win the Big 12 this year and IF KU loses in the 2nd round again (w/o Bragg and Diallo playing a lot), I think the same chatter about winning the Big 12 taking priority over winning the tournament will come to the forefront. If KU can get to the Final 4 or further, that chatter will be wiped out (at least for the short term). I think it will also show that Self's teams are more likely to do better in the tournament with a core of upperclassmen. (e.g. think '08 and '12).

Well put, Port...

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
