He openly addressed their PT and development yesterday, with nothing but effusive praise:

Self's comments about their "getting the last laugh" and just needing to be patient are intriguing. Did he mean before this year is up (e.g., an "Aldrich moment" in the post-season)? Or was he referring to next season? (Which would also be interesting from the standpoint of expecting their return--especially Diallo, since he's the biggest ? given his position on the draft board)

Regardless, it's nice to see the praise, and his point about their positive attitude seems to be underscored by the eye test--watching them during games, on the bench and otherwise. They always seem supportive, upbeat, and in "sponge" (learning) mode.

Rock Chalk...

I have a feeling that this year and next year will be special years for KU. We all know Bill Self's best teams have been ones with Senior and Junior leadership. See 2012 and 2008. This years seniors are: Perry, Jamari, and Hunter and our juniors are: Frank Mason, Wayne Selden, Brannen, and Landen.

That means next year Frank Mason, Selden, Brannen, and Landen will all be seniors. Devonte and Svi will be juniors. Thats a lot of upperclassmen next year who can help teach our incoming recruits the lay of the land. Buckle your seat belts KU fans; we're going for a fun ride this year and next.

Crimson and blue looks so much better than burnt orange!!!
