On one hand, my son and I are kind of jazzed that the Wizards (who we haven't been big fans of, except when The Truth was with them) now have three Jayhawks on their squad: Gooden, Oubre, and Morris.
On the other hand, Markieff has made such a (donkey's rear-end) of himself during his tenure in the NBA that it's kind of a bittersweet thing. I sincerely hope he comes to DC with a clean slate and a new attitude, and just lets his play on the court do the talking. If that happens, it will be far easier to root for him and the Wizards, from my corner.
PS: I wish B-Mac had gotten traded so he'd get out of that muck-swamp known as the Sacramento Kings. He deserves better, and it seems to be the place where good KU college players go to die in the league. (Lord knows it was a horrible first stop for T-Rob)
“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
