The last four games, beating Kentucky and and three double digit Big XII wins, seem to have provided a glimpse of what the Jayhawk finished product may look like in five or six weeks. As in running, cycling or horse racing second place is often the fate of the capable entrant who makes a premature finishing kick. The Texas game may mean OU is rounding into top form a bit later, at this point it might also mean they were just looking ahead?
Both teams played at a high level early which is expected with mature players who have been together a while. In a way the Hawks might have a slightly higher ceiling since Devonte wasn't able to play in Korea and he is only a sophomore.
For tomorrow I look at the improvement we've seen at both ends of the court the last couple weeks. The spacing and effort have improved and the D is starting to look like some of HCBS's better teams. What we didn't see was Wayne having an A game or a B+ game by the high standards we hold him to. The Flu sucks, but with top medical care a guy in his early twenties can improve a lot between Tuesday and Saturday.
For us to win I think it will require and epic afternoon from the player I'd then name " Big Game Wayne."

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
