The new Board does take some getting used to, but thanks to Dave's help and patience in getting me on it, I am beginning to find my way. Also, I figured if Dave took the time to get the Board, in whatever configuration, back to us hungry participants, I owe it to him to keep trying.

May I add in this message that the game was as enjoyable for me as it used to be before the years of one and dones? This team gave us many moments of excitement and pride today. To the unsung heroes such as Landon Lucas and Hunter Mickelson, whose many accomplishments won't show up on the stat line, my congratulations for being such an integral part of the win! To Perry Ellis, kudos for showing us he isn't afraid of the big bruisers after all! To Wayne Selden, good for you for having such steely confidence in your shots! To
Mason and Devonte, bless you for your steady hands and great shot selection! To Brannen Greene, thank you for your noticeable attitude change! To all who got on the court today, you have restored my passion for KU basketball!

Hopefully we will all wake up as the season progresses.

Have to agree this format will take some getting used to. That being said I dont care how, why or when varsity level posters like Senex, Corpus, Bayhawk, Kong and so many others share with the rest of us their thoughts and wisdom, I will wear google out until I find them. I was very anxious about a Jan-Mar without intelligent KU fans to keep me in check. Thank you again Dave for allowing all of us to share our passion with each other.

This has been a busy and somewhat diificult year in the "nmo" residence. After the success in Korea I was very much looking forward to this season and this great group of hoops junkies. My hope is that the vast majority of our group remains here and adapts to the change. Looking forward to a great season and some provocative thought from you all.

HELLO RCBoard groupies! I got a disturbing text from NURSE, now living very happily in the FIJIs! saying that getting 'older' has made for less posting from our members! I DONT KNOW ABOUT THAT! Lets just say; this is the best hoops board on line, EVER! Birthed by Dave and John, nourished along by the posters, that have visited over these many years. It will NEVER go away, we just must remember to NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANITE! Bequeth this place to your family and friends that love KU basketball, and there will always be someone coming through the door. I don't have any answers, but some of you have mentioned many things going on in our lives, sports wise or other; it all tends to keep a person busy. I'll always be peeping in here. And if we WIN the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, NURSE and our family will host a J E L L - O shooters swing dig that will live in KU hoops lore! Thats a promise. The format switch, and maybe the "interim board" may have curbed my enthusiasm slightly. That should be offset by the quality of the team. This group is more interesting than any we have had for a long time. I watched nearly every minute of the games from Korea and it became clear that Wayne and Frank were ready for big things. Hunter started to show some of why he left his home state school where he played a lot as a freshman.

Then we had NCAA drama. Cliffgate was frustrating enough coming after a short March with two top three picks to reduce interest. Still the promise of the season that is upon us was evident even pre-Korea.

And we have the ongoing Saga of Mr. Greene and how many times HCBS will have to tell him that even shooters have to play D, in college and the Association.

All said this is a really entertaining team with talent and experience up there with 1986, 1997 and 2008 . I've been to one game and have plans to see one in Allen. And maybe a Regional?

Monday Allen will be the center of the college hoops universe, as it should be.

I promise to let this go after grousing this one time but as somebody who has been posting since the days of PaHawk getting busted down to "New Member" stinks. Sorry Dave.

Kind of a perfect storm hit us, I believe. The old board crashed and burned just as things typically ramp up, so we probably lost a lot of people going from no board, to the interim board, to this.

The result is that there's less discussion to be had. One minor suggestion if I may be so bold: some folks post links to interesting articles, which is good, but can be bad if you don't post a comment to accompany the story. For example, I'd assume that most posters here check KUSports.com on a regular (if not daily) basis. So simply posting a link to an article that most people will have read doesn't provide much value (and can be annoying). If, on the other hand, you post a link, but then add in a comment, question, or opinion, you're creating content that prompts discussion.

Hoping things pick up, and I have faith that it will. Thanks to Dave for keeping this alive, and for everyone who IS contributing.

It appears to me that all we needed was a Big Monday match-up between two #1 rated teams to get the board hopping.

The last 30 minutes have just disappeared as I've been reading all the outstanding posts from the regulars and others.

Thanks to all for your fantastic insights. I'm not a frequent poster, but I have been a regular reader for many many years.

So glad to know that *texkan* survived. I had doubts about myself.

One feature of the new board I like is that links open in new tabs so I don't lose my spot in the discussion itself. Terribly hard to find things as one ages...

The only thing I miss about the old board (besides more action) is the inability to see who has responded to the various posts. It was fun to see that, as well as enabling me to know what responses I wanted to check out and what kind of back and forth might be going on between (or among) posters. And there doesn't seem to be as much of that either--the back and forth conversations.

So much better! Going with indented for now, but will also probably try threaded. Thanks!!!
