May I add in this message that the game was as enjoyable for me as it used to be before the years of one and dones? This team gave us many moments of excitement and pride today. To the unsung heroes such as Landon Lucas and Hunter Mickelson, whose many accomplishments won't show up on the stat line, my congratulations for being such an integral part of the win! To Perry Ellis, kudos for showing us he isn't afraid of the big bruisers after all! To Wayne Selden, good for you for having such steely confidence in your shots! To
Mason and Devonte, bless you for your steady hands and great shot selection! To Brannen Greene, thank you for your noticeable attitude change! To all who got on the court today, you have restored my passion for KU basketball!

This has been a busy and somewhat diificult year in the "nmo" residence. After the success in Korea I was very much looking forward to this season and this great group of hoops junkies. My hope is that the vast majority of our group remains here and adapts to the change. Looking forward to a great season and some provocative thought from you all.

Then we had NCAA drama. Cliffgate was frustrating enough coming after a short March with two top three picks to reduce interest. Still the promise of the season that is upon us was evident even pre-Korea.
And we have the ongoing Saga of Mr. Greene and how many times HCBS will have to tell him that even shooters have to play D, in college and the Association.
All said this is a really entertaining team with talent and experience up there with 1986, 1997 and 2008 . I've been to one game and have plans to see one in Allen. And maybe a Regional?
Monday Allen will be the center of the college hoops universe, as it should be.

The result is that there's less discussion to be had. One minor suggestion if I may be so bold: some folks post links to interesting articles, which is good, but can be bad if you don't post a comment to accompany the story. For example, I'd assume that most posters here check KUSports.com on a regular (if not daily) basis. So simply posting a link to an article that most people will have read doesn't provide much value (and can be annoying). If, on the other hand, you post a link, but then add in a comment, question, or opinion, you're creating content that prompts discussion.
Hoping things pick up, and I have faith that it will. Thanks to Dave for keeping this alive, and for everyone who IS contributing.

The last 30 minutes have just disappeared as I've been reading all the outstanding posts from the regulars and others.
Thanks to all for your fantastic insights. I'm not a frequent poster, but I have been a regular reader for many many years.
Thanks Dave for continuing to keep this thing going and thanks to Corpus, HawkE, NotO, Senex, Kong, Asteroid and all the others who I failed to mention that have made the Rock Chalk Board the Allen Fieldhouse of KU Discussion Boards!

One feature of the new board I like is that links open in new tabs so I don't lose my spot in the discussion itself. Terribly hard to find things as one ages...

You'll find those boxes near this text:
Rock Chalk Talk: Basketball Anything pertaining to basketball: college, pro, HS, recruiting, TV coverage
Click on THREADED and you'll then be able to view not only that particular topic but any you want to in the future in threaded fashion, with all posters cited. You can then click on any single user or response that you wish to, just like the old board. Then change it back to Flat or Indented if you desire.
Hope this helps...
NOTE TO ALL USERS: As you play with the different views options, feel free to give Dave feedback on the Feedback forum. He has a poll on this issue there. (It took me awhile to figure out the different views myself, since we're all learning and adapting as we go.)
Good stuff!
RC...
