"I don't think it was the "number one" hex. I just think we didn't play in the first half. We were lucky to just be down by ten. Then we had an amazing enthusiasm and difference in our play in the second half, and I was very, very proud of our kids. But give them (OU) credit. They missed a shot that would have given us the ball and the lead, but they fought and got the offensive rebound, and Abercrombie made a great shot from the corner. Then we go down and we're down one and they're playing a zone, and we throw it away inside. Just six inches higher and it might have been a layup for us. And then we fouled and Ryan Minor made the free throws. So give them some congratulations. I don't care about any jinx. That's college basketball.

"Our whole team was much better in the second half. We shot the ball better, we rebounded better, we played defense better, but we just gave them too big a cushion.

"One of the key factors in the game was that in the first half we shot more threes than we did twos. We've got a size advantage and we didn't do a good job of using that. We were too content to shoot it up from the outside too quickly.

(On his technical foul) "It was something that I should not have done. I have no problem saying that. In my mind, at the tiem, and I still think the youngster (OU fan) put his hands on Jerod, and I thought he nudged him with his leg. That still is something I should not have done, and I apologize for doing it. But it's over with now, and there's nothing I can do about it."
