KU ATHLETICS

KU MEN'S HOOPS -
• Today is the same as yesterday, really nothing I found worth posting. Still, here's a recruiting note from 247Sports National Analyst Eric Bossi - 247Sports.com - Eric Bossi: Inside 5-star Darryn Peterson's 8 finalists. Five-star Darryn Peterson, the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 combo guard in college basketball's 2025 recruiting class, is down to eight finalists.
Most sources say KANSAS is at the top of his list. All I read is that Peterson is certainly the top 2025 target for Self & Co.

The Paris Summer Olympics continue!
Link to the Medals Count.
US leads in total medals (28), but is looking for more Golds. China leads with 8, Japan and Australia have 7, while sitting at 6 are host France and Great Britain. USA has 4 Gold.as I write this.

- Luisa Fernanda Cicero

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"

In the article about Peterson, he wrote this (bold is my emphasis):

"I want to see winning coaches that'll hold me accountable and let me play through my mistakes," Peterson told London in July. "I want to go to a school to be a one-and-done, prepare for the NBA and learn."

Playing through mistakes is not something that HCBS has done with most of his freshman. Wonder how that would go if Peterson was on next year's team.
