• This Friday begins MLB's All-Star Game fiesta in Arlington, TX, culminating in Tuesday's All-Star Game, but with many events - including the MLB Draft - taking place before Tuesday's contest for league bragging rights. See mlb.com: MLB All-Star Week Schedule for more.

The Lawrence forecast from Accuweather.com: morning rain, rain and more rain, and a thunderstorm to boot (going through it as I write this), then breezy in the afternoon. Night will be mainly clear, breezy and humid.
Chance of precipitation goes from 100% during the day to 4% overnight.
High of 87F (30.6 C) and an overnight low of 77F (25 C).

That is all for now.

Hope you have a GREAT day!

Bryce Hoppel's race was fun to watch in real time. Great finish. The overall Track and Field events were great. Not quite sure how we match up with the rest of the world. Also fun to see a 52 year old grandmother make USA team for the Olympics as a race walker. I helped run the Lawrence track Club for six years while all three of my daughters participated. It was one of the more memorable periods in the lives of my three young women.

Linkon Cure (4^/5* TE and highest rated recruit from Kansas in many years) is announcing his decision this afternoon in Goodland.. Between KU, KState, Oregon an TAM. Also Ks High Hurdler State Champion. Watching some of the videos of him on line, he look lake a man among boys, size strength and speed. Sure looks like an NFL prospect. Hope the good guys win.
