How many days until LATE NIGHT in The PHOG!?
and other dates of interest...
DAYS	DATE EVENT
1	Wed 2024-05-15	Hoops National Letter of Intent Spring Signing Period ends today
15	Wed 2024-05-29	Days left to withdraw from NBA Draft
(10 days after the NBA Combine ends)
106	Thu 2024-08-29	Days until KUFB 2024
142	Fri 2024-10-04	Days until LATE NIGHT in The PHOG!*
*Estimate based on first Friday in October. Official announcement expected in July 2024.

For those who missed it, Self & Co added a walk-on yesterday, Kansas 5A Player of the Year Will Thengvall, a 6-4/185 combo guard from 5A state champion Kapuan Mt. Carmel in Wichita. He is at least the second KU men's hoopster from Kapaun (I know of Greg Dreiling, not sure of anyone else). Not the walk-on news some have been expecting, but the week is not over.

In other KU news on the same page as the Thengvall article is Furphy talking about his experience to date at the NBA Combine. I am not expecting him back, folks. I'll be shocked if he returns. I'll love it, but I'll be shocked.

.And Kevin McCullar's knee is getting better after an off-season procedure.

Elsewhere in NCAAM (as ESPN abbreviates it) "Pants On Backwards" has a head coaching gig.

In re KUFB, former KStater Brien Hanley discusses conference expansion, the future of KU football under Lance Leipold and the Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium rebuild with 247Sports' Michael Swain in the Big 12 Insider podcast.

That is all for now.

May you have a GREAT day!

ROCK CHALK!
